Our aim is to provide a complete service from design to installation & ongoing maintenance.
Design
Telecom Electrical Ltd provides a complete electrical design service for both commercial and residential installations, whether refurbishments, new builds or extension of existing services.
This is carried out in house, however for larger projects; we use our partner Design Consultant Company. Our design service includes all aspects of electrical design from specification, layout drawings and lighting design, to panel and distribution boards, cable sizing and of course fire and security alarm systems.
Installation
All design and installation works are completed to the highest possible standards and comply with BS7671 Electrical Wiring Regulations, Building Regulations, British and European Standards and following CIBSE guidelines.
Maintenance
Electrical maintenance is the upkeep and preservation of equipment and systems that supply electricity to a building. The main areas of electrical maintenance generally commonly include the power outlets, surge control, generators and lighting systems.
These systems should be periodically checked for structural integrity and internal stability. Whilst more modern electrical installations require less maintenance than older installations, they are indeed not without their own issues and should still be periodically checked for the purpose of fixing small problems before they escalate to much larger ones.
Testing
Fixed wire electrical testing involves the testing of electrical services and systems that conduct electricity around a building. It includes all hard wiring which includes main panels, distribution boards, lighting and socket outlets. The results and extent of a periodic inspection test is recorded on an Electrical Installation Condition Report and can be delivered in hard copy of electronic form. The Report covers five main principles:
Telecom Electrical Ltd recommend periodic inspections to test the installation and find any hidden dangers, however recommended inspections can vary from type of building and can be as little as quarterly inspections dependent on the type and usage of a building. We would be happy to advise on frequency of inspections as per government guidelines.
Voice and data
A crucial consideration during office moves and expansions is ensuring the availability of the right supporting infrastructure for your voice & data systems. In a world of increasing home and remote working, the considerations need to factor in long distance LANs and remote workers. Network cabling provides a major role in any system and reliability and speed of a network are key to any business, whether your business operates from a single outlet or ranging to thousands of point projects across the country.
Any structured network cabling system has to be fully tested to the intended standards before it can be classed as category 5E, 6 or 6A. Telecom Electrical Ltd maintain and invest in the highest specification testing equipment, which provides accurate and detailed reports for every installation.
Lighting
Whether your requirements are emergency lighting for safety, general maintenance of your building lighting, a security assessment of your exterior lighting or a routine inspection and replacement service for your office illumination, Telecom Electrical Ltd can provide a tailored package to suit your individual needs.
Additionally with the advances in modern low energy lamps such as LEDs, investment towards ongoing consumption savings and protecting the environment is a constant consideration.
Distribution
Whilst business expansion is always a good sign of prosperity, an original electrical supply may not factor in the growth of a business at original installation. Additional supply installation is a fundamental factor that needs to be considered, whether at inaugural fitting or at a retrospective stage.
